"The Knight Rider to ride again"

from cinemablend.com

If the summer blockbuster hit Transformers is any indication of the country's general feelings towards automobiles, its pretty clear that the people love cars that can talk. So what better time to remake the classic 80's TV series, Knight Rider than now? NBC plans to do just that and it looks like they've finally settled on a leading man for the 2-hour made-for-TV movie that could serve to be the pilot for a new series for the network.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC tapped Justin Bruening of the soap opera, All My Children to play the star of the remade series. Bruening will play Michael Knight's son.

It was reported back in September that NBC Entertainment chief Ben Silverman decided to bring back Knight Rider after the success of the film Transformers. Variety said that there's a chance that in addition to Knight's trusted sidekick car, K.I.T.T., there will also be evil cars that Knight and K.I.T.T. will have to face off with.
